One of our readers noticed that a teenager in Greenbrier County opened a business this week.

“How cool is this, for a young man to start his own business,” they shared in a nomination. “That takes a lot of courage. He should be recognized.”

Well, it’s time to recognize…Levi Faerber, the teenager owner/operator of Bin Blasters. His business model is straightforward–if you have a grimy old trash can that does the job but needs a refresh, give him a call. He will pressure wash your trash cans for $15 each.

How did this industrious young man get started? His mother noticed their family trash can one day, realizing it needed a good scrubbing. She didn’t want to do it, so she offered Levi some cash to get the job done. He took it…and ran with the idea. He’s already getting pressure-washing requests for items besides trash cans.

Why is he doing it? Levi loves mountain biking. As a member of the Greenbrier Valley Hellbenders, he is in his third season of competition. Last year, he achieved a podium finish at every race in which he competed. He wants to continue to excel, but biking is an expensive sport. This side business will allow him to cover his racing costs.

Levi also enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which he’s been doing for eight years now. According to his mom, Afsaneh, he is also “the BEST big brother to his two younger siblings.”

For his entrepreneurial spirit in support of his athletic goals–and for being a good dude–we are proud to name Levi Faerber as the certified Real West Virginian of the Week.
