Jennifer Crane
Sometimes in life, it’s the small things that make all the difference. And after enduring more personal hardships than any person should ever have to, no one knows that better than Jennifer Crane. But even after losing both her brother and her former fiance to tragic circumstances, Jennifer’s heart still beats for the care of others.
Jennifer spent the frigid month of January setting up warming shelters for those who had nowhere to go to escape the cold. And her daughter, Autumn, told RealWV that, just this week, Jennifer’s kindness was on full display as she interrupted her day to check in on a complete stranger.
As Autumn explains it, “We were out for lunch today, and as we were walking back to our vehicles, we noticed that a man was passed out sitting on the steps. My mother courageously woke him up, sat down with him, talked to him and prayed with him. She showed a stranger love and compassion and never once judged him!”
“We need more people like my mother!” Autumn added, and we couldn’t agree more.
For her unbreakable spirit, her unwavering heart, and for being a friend to a stranger when a stranger needed one, we are thrilled to name Jennifer Crane as the certified Real West Virginian of the Week.
