Margaret Hambrick

Unbeknownst to Margaret Hambrick, she has become a treasured friend to any and all news outlets who cover the Greenbrier Valley. If you read about something going on in Alderson in the local paper or online, odds are Margaret wrote the article.

For years, Margaret has served as the unofficial – yet incredibly valued and under-appreciated – communications director for the Town of Alderson. From community events and parades, to new business openings and the annual fireworks shows, it is Margaret who keeps us all informed. And though her name may not appear on any bylines, her heart and soul is in every story that you read.

For being an irreplaceable resource to reporters and the community as a whole at a time when reporters and the community as a whole need all the resources they can get, we couldn’t be more pleased (and grateful) to name Margaret Hambrick as the certified Real West Virginian of the Week.
