Mountain State $100K challenge launches: Predict WVU–UVA score for chance at $200,000 total prize while advancing statewide pet safety

Smoot, WV — The PROVENIQ Foundation today announced the launch of the Mountain State $100K Challenge, a statewide initiative aiming to register 100,000 West Virginia households to improve pet safety. To incentivize participation, one household will be given the opportunity to win a $200,000 total prize tied to a major college football matchup.

At the center of the campaign, one randomly selected West Virginia household will be named the Grand Finalist and tasked with predicting the exact final score of the West Virginia University vs. University of Virginia football game on September 19, 2026.

If the prediction is correct, the finalist will receive:

  • $100,000 cash, and
  • $100,000 donated to a West Virginia 501(c)(3) animal shelter or rescue of their choice.

If the prediction is not correct, the finalist will still receive a guaranteed $1,000 consolation prize, awarded as:

  • $500 Chewy.com gift card for the finalist, and
  • $500 Chewy.com gift card for their selected shelter.

“This initiative is rooted in our One Health mission—recognizing that animal health, human health, and community safety are deeply connected,” said Terry Holliday, Founder of PROVENIQ. “Every household that registers strengthens a network that protects families, supports shelters, and improves emergency response across West Virginia. The Mountain State $100K Challenge is free to enter, it saves lives, and it could change yours.”

Advanced Pet Identification and Network Infrastructure To ensure both contest integrity and long-term impact, participants must register using:

  • A 15-digit ISO-compliant microchip ID, or
  • A biometric noseprint record

Each verified registration creates a permanent digital identity within the MAYDAY / LifeLog network, improving pet identification and reunification, emergency response coordination, and public health outcomes.
