West Virginia International Yeager Airport welcomes Dean Selby as director of general aviation

CHARLESTON, WV (August 6, 2026) West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) is pleased to announce the selection of Dean Selby as Director of General Aviation, bringing more than 35 years of experience in facilities, property, and construction management, along with an extensive background in aviation and airport leadership.
In his new role, Selby will oversee CRW’s general aviation operations, including Capital Jet Center, the Airport’s Fixed-Base Operator (FBO). He will focus on strengthening service for general aviation customers, tenants, and partners while supporting the continued growth and development of the airport’s general aviation facilities and services.
Selby joins CRW from Upper Cumberland Regional Airport, where he served as Executive Director. In addition to his extensive background in airport, facilities, and construction management, Selby is an accomplished pilot and A&P mechanic. A lifelong aviation enthusiast, he has built and flown experimental aircraft, bringing both operational leadership and hands-on aviation experience to his new role at CRW.

Selby’s commitment to aviation extends beyond his professional experience. He holds a degree in Technical Management and a Master of Aeronautics with distinction and a specialization in Aviation Safety from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He also holds the Accredited Airport Executive Certified Member (AAAE C.M.) designation, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and leadership in airport management.
