Twin Falls Resort State Park Superintendent Ken Zebo
Thousands of people visit Twin Falls Resort State Park in Wyoming County each month, and in each of those months Park Superintendent Ken Zebo is responsible for keeping all those visitors safe and secure.
This past Sunday, the park hosted the West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League’s (WVICL) final race of the 2024 season. Hundreds of student-athletes, along with their family members and friends, headed out for a beautiful day of fun and competition. Yet, with this many people in one location, safety is a primary concern – anything can happen, and happen it did.
When a six-year-old friend of one of the competing cyclists became injured, ultimately requiring a trip to a local hospital for chin stitches, Ken Zebo stepped up.
Along with help from the Jan-Care Ambulance crew, who helped this little girl get the first aid she needed, Superintendent Zebo helped a very worried mother navigate the park and its crowds to get the little girl on the road to the hospital.
For being calm in a hectic situation, for helping a stranger when she needed it the most, and for his continued efforts at keeping the park a safe place for visitors and events, the RealWV is thrilled to name Park Superintendent Ken Zebo as the certified Real West Virginian of the week.
